Verstasmestarit Briefly in English

Verstasmestarit is a carpenter workshop and interior renovation firm specialized in mid-centure modern (MCM) furniture and interiors. We repair and recycle abandoned/used MCM furniture back to everyday use. We also do tailor-made, high-quality furniture, interior elements and small interior design items based on customers’ specifications and suggestions.

Verstasmestarit renovates mid-century interiors, too. We build section walls, build, refurbish and install doors, doorframes, door steps and windows respecting 1900’s interior design look and materials. In addition, we do outdoor area builds such as terraces, sheds and outdoor stairs.

Building Furniture

We build high-quality, tailor-made furniture based on customer needs, measures and plans. If needed, we do 3D-models and blueprints with measures to support in planning phase.

Buying Furniture

We buy used, worn out and broken furniture. If You have furniture from 1900’s to 1970’s that You feel comfortable to sell, feel free to contact us. Our mission is to return, orginally high quality furniture hit by ravages of time, back to their original condition and quality to serve as stylish utility items.

Repairing Furniture

Do You have a dear, beautiful, stylish or otherwise special pieces of furniture that You would like to be brought back to their original glory? We repair furniture and other interior decocation items for this.

Selling Furniture

We sell repaired and restored vintage and design furniture. Teak, mahogany and birch veneered sideboards, linien cabinets, Billnäs, Artek and such timeless brands are especially dear to us. In addition, we repair and sell old, used smaller interior design pieces and lamps.

Doing Minor Renovations and Outdoor Builds

We do minor renovations, perfect renovations and outdoor builds. We always provide a written proposal prior to agreement. Cost of our labor (as itemised in our bills) can be decucted in taxation as per Finnish Tax Legislation.
